I am a clinical neuropsychologist and psychologist who trained at Deakin University for four years, completing my honours degree in psychology.

I then studied my masters degree at the University of Queensland. My degree took three years, allowing me to qualify both as a clinical psychologist and a clinical neuropsychologist. I completed my master’s degree in 1997.

My first job involved working in general clinical psychology at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, seeing patients in their homes, treating difficulties such as depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, and pain management issues.

After 18 months I moved to Hobart and worked at Rehabilitation Tasmania as a neuropsychologist and psychologist. Nine months later, after the hospital closed, I gained a position in a child assessment service run by St John’s private hospital (now run by Calvary), where the bulk of my work involved assessment of Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and related disorders, as well as child behaviour management.

Three years later I moved home to Melbourne in 2000 where I worked in rehabilitation at Sunshine Hospital and Melbourne Extended Care and Rehabilitation as a neuropsychologist. After a year I worked full time at Sunshine Hospital in rehab, assessing elderly patients with dementia, and assessing patients for capacity to make decisions. Over the six years at Sunshine Hospital I have worked in a number of services, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, geriatrics, acute medical wards, and the cognitive dementia and memory service (CDAMS).

My work has become more and more focused on dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and capacity assessments. I have been working part time in private practice since 2003, specialising in these areas.

I have extensive experience providing well received reports for and attending hearings for the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Since the birth of my son in 2006 I have left the hospital system to concentrate on my private practice. I am registered as a psychologist in Victoria, and I am a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
